• Education: Varies from High School Diploma to bachelor's degree
• Years' experience: Junior (2+ years), Mid (5+ years) and Senior (10+ years)
• Cert requirements: 8570 IAT II certification (CompTIA Security+) and Mid/Senior may require CCNA, CCNP or other certs.
• Clearance requirements: Varies from Secret clearance through TS/SCI with polygraph.Network Architects
• Architecture, network engineering, design, lab test support, accreditation and Authentication, Technical documentation creation, on-call Tier III support for WAN, Network Timing, Load Balancing
• NRO and Joint Forces Network ModernizationNetwork Engineers
• Configuring, installing, and supporting LAN/WAN/Intranet/Internet data communication systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware/software problems, preparing technical proposals, performing upgrades, routine network startup/shutdown procedures, and routine O&M activitiesIT Specialists
• Configuring, installing, and maintaining IT systems (MS server, DMS, hardware, software, etc.)
• Integrating multiple information systems, troubleshooting LAN/WAN/NIPR/SIPR, and configuring network devices (switches, routers, hubs, etc.)
