Bishop & Co is seeking top talent for their client who is hiring a Corporate Accountant or Senior Corporate Accountant (depending on experience) in Honolulu, Hawaii!
We're looking for a dedicated professional to prepare and record financial and statistical information, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. You'll coordinate financial closing processes, analyze recorded information, and provide accounting guidance to project teams.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare GAAP financial statements and internal reports
Analyze financial data for reporting and disclosures
Maintain and improve the financial reporting system
Collaborate with internal and external customers for financial information
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act

Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting practices
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the electric utility industry
CPA designation is a plus
Utility Accounting a plus
Cash Flows to Financial Statements experience preferred

Job Status: Temp/Temp to Hire preferred, but may consider, commensurate with experience Direct Hire
Salary: $80-$85 Corporate Accountant $90-$95K Sr. Corporate Accountant (Salary based on seniority, hiring for Corporate Accountant or up to Sr. Corporate Account - DOE) annually, commensurate with experience & budget approved

Location: Honolulu, In office primarily & initially, with consideration, upon performance, post onboarding, hybrid (4 days remote/1 day in office - Tuesdays)
Parking: Not provided for in office days
