Transportation Civil Project Engineer - ( 183151 )At HDR, our

the Civil Project Engineer include:
- Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project
Manager on the design of highways and roads, and waterfront and
aviation infrastructure projects.
- Design alignments and profiles, geometric layouts, utilities
and drainage infrastructure, and develop plans, specifications and
construction estimates.
- Take responsibility for performing complex assignments
exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of
standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Perform engineering calculations and create technical
reports.
- Provide engineering services during construction, including
responding to requests for information, reviewing material
submittals, and performing construction inspections.
- Work independently on small to medium size tasks and function
as a technical specialist or project manager.
- Support the development of new and existing Transportation
clients in Hawaii and the Pacific Region.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Hawaii PE license strongly preferred or ability to obtain prior
to hire.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with an architectural/engineering
or engineering consulting firm.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft
Office programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Previous experience in all aspects of roadway engineering
design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering
software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer
and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges,
intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning,
site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical
layout and CAD base alignment plans.
