has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist -
Construction supporting a federal project in Honolulu, HI.Position
DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Specialist shall provide project
support, quality assurance oversight, and day-to-day
oversight.General responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
- Coordinate with stakeholders including DeCA personnel, A/E
Design firm, and other construction contractors.
- Perform Quality Assurance inspections in accordance with the
Government Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and document inspections
daily using DeCA's Construction Management Website (FACTS).
- Review construction contractor documents for conformance with
contract requirements and good practice, providing detailed reports
and recommendations to the Task Order Contracting Officer's.
- Attend and participate in preconstruction conferences, quality
control coordination meetings, progress reviews, and other relevant
activities, keeping and distributing meeting notes.
- Provide project oversight and manage punchlist walk-throughs
for owner and coordinate phasing turnovers, warranty, and
closeout.
- Oversee construction sites for compliance with safety
requirements, participate in safety meetings, and document safety
violations and accidents.
- Review and provide feedback on construction contractor
submittals, including shop drawings, to ensure compliance with
contract requirements.
- Verify site conditions prior to work commencement, verify
quality control tests, and prepare written reports on test
results.
- Process Pay Applications and Progress Schedule reviews.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Prepare correspondence for the COR's signature, including
responses to requests for information and discussions of contract
requirements.
- Review, comment, and coordinate on construction contractor
submittals, including shop drawings, with project stakeholders.We

- This position requires a degree or certification in a related
field.
- The representative shall have a minimum of 5 (five) years of
proven industry-specific experience in construction management,
field engineering, or site supervision role within the engineering,
construction, or related industry.
- Experience with Refrigeration and HVAC RMCS systems on
