All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms
and logistics, and intelligence operations.HII designs, develops,
integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets
necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated
decision-making. With data fusion and mission management
capabilities for the Department of Defense, the combatant commands
and the intelligence community, HII advances the mission around the
globe.HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer in our
Honolulu, HI location. This role will provide relocation assistance
to the most qualified candidate chosen for this role. You must have
an active TS/SCI clearance for this role.Position reports to the
Site OIC/Deputy OIC. The selected candidate will be part of the
team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and
technical readiness of the program and facility equipment.
Responsibilities include providing technical expertise in support
of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties, managing all program systems,
equipment, and components, troubleshooting system outages,
coordinating with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness
and minimize downtime, notifying senior program personnel when
anomalies or outages occur, qualifying on all applicable equipment,
maintaining the habitability of program spaces, conducting
preventive maintenance as required, reviewing and updating Standard
Operating Procedures as required, and providing Critical
Information Requirements (CIR) to the chain of command.What You
Will Do
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification
and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness
analyses for total systems.
- Conduct analyses at all levels of total system product to
include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation,
operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or
product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge
technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade
studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies
to translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications.
- Provide technical expertise for the installation, operation,
troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
- Perform duties as Power Control Station/Power Safety Officer
(PCO/PSO) overseeing the conduct of routine and preventative
maintenance.
- Inform the chain of command of any substantive changes to
routine system configuration or capability.
- Draft daily/monthly/weekly watch bills in support of
operational requirements.What We Are Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: 2 years relevant experience with a
Bachelor's in a related field; 0 years of experience with a
Master's in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent
and 6 years relevant experience.
- Background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or
Telecommunication disciplines.
- Experience with the management of electronic equipment for
preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and
calibration.
- Experience in Safety Procedures when working with electronic
equipment.
- Ability to identify and correct emergent problems involving
technical and/or facility-related equipment, systems, and
components.
- Experience following quality assurance steps/checks.
- Must have a current or active DoD TS/SCI.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- Strong background in communications; fiber optics;
electrical/electronic components; generators; AC/DC and high/low
voltage theory and application.
- Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of
electrical/electronic components; working knowledge of Key
Management Infrastructure.
- Experience and operational knowledge of various Test
Equipment.
- Experience with the development, review, and implementation of
Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Experience with Lifecycle Management of programs and various
equipment.
- Experience with Information Systems, Network Infrastructure,
Troubleshooting, and Program Analysis.Physical RequirementsOffice,
industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders
and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
