Job Description:
A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist,
Package.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite new and renewal business to meet profitability and
growth targets
Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers and clients while managing
a portfolio of accounts
Train and develop junior underwriters and maintain strong
relationships with brokers and clients
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriting
experience, preferably in middle-market
Established relationships with brokers and understanding of
regional/local insurance markets
Good understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management,
or Business Administration preferred
Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g., CPCU) is
preferred
