Job Description:
A company is looking for a Lead Servicing Counsel to provide
legal advice for servicing and collections functions in consumer
lending.
Key Responsibilities
Advise servicing and collections teams on applicable laws and
regulations
Collaborate with various teams to support servicing and collection
functions and perform legal research
Provide legal recommendations on key issues and escalate high-risk
matters to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
J.D. degree with superior academic credentials and state bar
membership
At least 7 years of experience in a law firm, in-house, or
governmental agency
Experience in fintech and handling servicing and collection matters
in consumer lending
In-depth knowledge of federal and state lending, servicing,
collections, and consumer protection laws
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work under pressure and
manage multiple tasks
