qualified NICU RN in Honolulu, Hawaii, 96850 Pay Information $2,511
per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Specialty: NICU RN Job Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 3x12-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours: 80 hours in a
two-week period Experience: Minimum of three years as a registered
nurse with at least one year of recent experience in a Level III
NICU caring for neonates. License: Current, full, active, and
unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for
Healthcare Provider, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Must-Have: - Degree from an accredited nursing program recognized
by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing or National
League for Nursing. For international graduates, a valid
certification for Full Education Course-by-Course Report by the
Commission on Graduates of Foreign Schools. Job Description: -
Perform and record comprehensive physical assessments of critically
ill term and premature infants, including monitoring vital signs,
cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological status, intake and
output, potential complications, family interactions, and bonding
behaviors. - Recognize significant changes in neonates' status
indicative of complications or the need for emergency treatment,
taking appropriate nursing action and reporting changes to
physicians. - Operate complex monitoring equipment, including pulse
oximetry, infant care systems, cardiovascular monitoring, and
phototherapy. - Administer various medications, including
ophthalmic, intramuscular, and IV medications via peripheral and
central indwelling catheters, using syringe pumps. - Obtain blood
samples from heel sticks, and peripheral and central arterial and
venous sampling. - Participate in preparing families to care for
their infants at home through individualized education on
diagnoses, basic infant care, safety, and breastfeeding. - May be
required to work in pediatric wards/clinics or the Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Join our team to deliver exceptional
