OverviewNakupuna Consulting is looking for a Senior Manager of
Environmental Programs to serve as the practice lead or have a deep
understanding of most or all of the Nakupuna Companies'
environmental service areas including Investigation and
Remediation, UXO/MMRP, Environmental Compliance, and Environmental
Construction.ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are
representative of the essential functions for this job but are not

- Work with managers of projects under your purview to develop
high performing teams that deliver exceptional products and reward
results with extraordinary impact.
- Promote a culture that advances and retains the highest
performers. Ensure projects are appropriately staffed and
applicable resources are obtained to execute contract tasks
efficiently.
- Ensure the highest quality of service delivery for all
contracts. Continuously evaluate service delivery by communicating
with clients, Project Managers, and employees to solve issues and
find areas for process improvement.
- Support development and execution of corporate goals and
objectives. Promote adherence to corporate values. Ensure
compliance with corporate policies and business processes. Advocate
our corporate culture.
- Deliver practical and innovative solutions that support
customers' missions. Ensure achievement of project schedules,
budgets, and scope requirements for assigned projects. Ensure work
conforms with the Nakupuna Companies' quality standards and client
expectations. Ensure invoices are prepared, accurate, timely, and
consistent with established milestone deliverables or other payment
timelines.
- Ensure effective management of end-to-end financial performance
of all contracts ensuring achievement of revenue/profit objectives.
Work closely with BFA, Senior and Project Managers to manage costs
and make prudent financial decisions.
- Ensure delivery of meaningful, accurate, and professional
project reporting and metrics for both our clients and company
leadership. Keep executives abreast of major service delivery
events (challenges and successes); ensure executive direction flows
to all service delivery efforts via Project Managers.
- Achieve business growth targets. Support management of business
development pipeline, forecasts, and profitability for projects
under your purview. Engage in Market Research Team efforts ensuring
opportunities are surfaced and discussed. Engage in development of
RFI and proposal responses, to include technical and pricing
inputs.
- Develop marketing products and meet with clients and partners
to cultivate strategic partnerships to enable attainment of growth
objectives.
- Work with Shared Services Directors to address support issues
of impact to projects under your purview and improve processes to
ensure successful service delivery.
- Ensure sustained alignment with and support of the corporate
mission, vision, values. Provide support, management, input, and
leadership in executing corporate strategic goals as appropriate.
Support corporate initiatives, as appropriate.
- Ensure all projects meet contractual obligations and the
workforce always acts in an ethical and legal manner.
- Support cross-company opportunities to enable innovative
service delivery. Ensure best practices are leveraged across the
Nakupuna Companies.
- Manage and oversee personnel management processes (e.g., goal
setting, performance assessment, mentoring & coaching, recruitment,
retention strategies, terminations, etc.) across assigned projects.
Provide guidance on personnel issues and be final approval for all
personnel actions.
- Provide training opportunities that develop the skills and
competencies of our team members and enhance career growth while
strategically growing the capabilities of assigned project
teams.
- Promote social responsibility including supporting our
community and native Hawaiian community.
- Develop new and improve existing customer relationships.
Maintain and build our customers' trust in the Nakupuna Companies'
ability to successfully manage and deliver projects.
- Manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure required change is
executed effectively.
- Participate in management meetings (Senior Management Meetings,
Recruiting Meetings, Environmental Manager Meetings,
etc.).QualificationsSkills/Qualifications: Exceptional
communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate risk
items and potential resolutions, highly self-motivated, and ability
to work independently in a global team environment, exceptional
analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in
decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions,
strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a
broad team, independent and comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous
and often multi-directional work environment.Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or environmental related field
required. Masters preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience delivering on environmental services
contracts for government and DoD agencies.
- 8-10 years of experience managing complex environmental
services programs and projects for government and DoD
agencies.
- 8-10 years of experience managing a diverse group of staff,
including Project Managers, Environmental Scientists, Geologists,
and other environmental specialties.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- Ability to serve as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) for
state contracting licenses preferred.
- PMP Certification preferred.Physical Requirements: The ideal
candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical
requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists,
and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in
emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a
computer.The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation
strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within
applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors,
including but not limited to the individual's particular
combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and
experience, as well as contract-specific affordability,
organizational requirements, and position location. The projected
compensation range for this position is $175,000.00 to $204,250.00
(annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical
salary range for this position and is just one component of
Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package for employees.
