Quality Manager needed for leading Food manufacturing company

• Greater Honolulu, HI Area
• Management LevelA leading Food packaging manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Manager to help lead the Quality team.This Quality Manager will lead all quality initiatives and programs onsite. The candidate will report directly to the Sr. Director of Manufacturing and will play a critical role in leveraging their strong packaging background to ensure product compliance.The Quality Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Identify production issues on-site
  • Devise solutions to fix and augment existing issues
  • Check on company infrastructure, materials, and production to confirm qualifications are up to standard
  • Verify that procedures and materials meet safety requirements
  • Verify compliance of all products with industry and company standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and other industry standards
  • Develop process improvement initiatives to implement
  • Conduct audits where CAPA initiatives are necessary
  • Maintain industry standards: HACCP, FDA, cGMP, etc.
  • Conducting BRC audits
  • Ensuring compliance with SQF standards
  • Root Cause Analysis investigations
  • Enforcing the food safety plan
  • Incoming raw material inspection
  • QMS ownershipThe ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
    • Degree in engineering or a related field
    • 5+ years of quality assurance experience
    • Food / Beverage manufacturing experience
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
    • ASQ certification preferred
    • SQF, BRC, HACCP experience
    • Internal auditing experience
