matchJob Description:Responsible for manufacturing quality products
using efficient and safe manufacturing processes through the
supervision of production team members. Must adhere to the schedule
and ensure that quality standards are met.
- Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
- Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators and down
time.
- Manage within labor and OPEX budget.
- Monitors the production process, makes periodic checks and
adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating
procedures.
- Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with Company
SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazardous Analysis
Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and
Company safety policies and procedures, and any other established
requirements as necessary.
- Confers with the Production Department to schedule sanitizing
and cleaning assignments, responding to reports of sanitation
problems and monitor sanitation performance as needed to verify
guidelines and procedures.
- Utilize sanitation checklists, charts, and graphs verifying
activities are within required specifications. Manage time
effectively to maintain facility audit readiness.
- Ensures equipment in the area assigned is in working order and
that working conditions are safe at all times.
- Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and
supervise change overs.
- Work with QA to manage overall package and product quality to
ensure all standards and specifications are met.
- Performs ISO and other internal audits.
- Responsible for the effective utilization of PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment).
- Adjust the daily work schedule as needed to meet sanitation
requirements.
- Support management system efforts such as document control,
audits, records, and continual improvement.
- Other duties as assigned in support of the business.Job
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
preferred.
- 2 years experience in a production position strongly
preferred.
- Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet
jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations and
procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to make calculations such as proportions, percentages,
area, and volume.
- Ability to carry out oral and/or written instructions.Technical
Skills
- Requires experience managing people/budgets.
- 5+ years supervising production staff preferred.
- Basic computer and database application skills.
- Experience working with ISO standards and audits.Physical
Demands
- Ability to squat and bend over at the waist.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in
temperature extremes on a daily basis up to 12 hours.
