Accounting Clerk
Bishop & Company is seeking an immediate need for accounting
assistance to provide administrative support to the Accounting &
Financial Services team with a focus on the Accounts Payable and
Automotive departments. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
MS Office Suite, have high attention to detail, be organized, and
be available to start ASAP!
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting with record keeping including receiving
and digitizing documents.
Follows directions including written policies and procedures to
complete tasks efficiently including the processing of invoices for
payment and auditing supporting documents.
Communicates effectively to ensure issues or concerns are addressed
and to avoid misunderstandings. Escalate queries or concerns to the
supervisor and appropriate team member(s).
Follow up with operations and other departments on vendors,
invoices, and payments, and provide status updates as
requested.
Ensures to maintain general ledger by preparing account
reconciliations, performing period closing functions, preparation
of reports, and supporting schedules (financial, management,
statistical, tax schedules) as needed.
Provide support services to stakeholders as required.
QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook,
Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Typing 35 wpm
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, customer savvy, organized, and
professional.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum one to two years of progressive
accounting work experience preferred including general ledger and
account reconciliations, or equivalent of two years minimum of
office administrative and or accounts payable related tasks.
Work experience in retail, manufacturing, and automotive
preferred.
Competencies: Team Player, Time Management, Analytical Thinker,
Organized and Detail Oriented, Problem Solver.
Additional Information: Job Type: Full-time, 3-month temporary
opportunity with possible extension
Pay: $21.80/hr
Schedule: 8am-5pm
Location: Mapunapuna, 92819
